NightHawk 2006

Hello Everyone,

The Night Hawk was very successful for our SJW Scouts as our Youth did an excellent hike, catching up with other patrols and answering well to the questions. They’ve left at 8:15pm and returned at around 2am while we were deeply asleep…
The temperature dropped to 3 degrees and the fog swamped the area until the sun had well and truely come up.

The best location for the kitchen was at the Grand Hotel (also called a stable, thank you Rob Alexander for the idea). Mike did some valuable repair to the stove and Bruce did magic with the frozen steaks while Alan had some extra home-tin soup.

There were 800 Scouts and 300 Venturers. Our Scouts finished 2nd out of more than 120 patrols and received a cheque and a shake from the Chief Commissioner. Next year the event might be even bigger.
