Baden-Powell born 150 years ago
On Sunday 25 February, a number of Scouting youth, families and Leaders from the Taylor Range Scout District (St Johns Wood, Bardon, Oakleigh and The Gap) gathered at Walton Bridge Park The Gap at 8am for a special Service to remember the Founder of Scouting - Lord Robert Baden-Powell. The Service was conducted by the Oakleigh Venturers.
This was also the first District event held in 2007 to celebrate a hundred years of International Scouting.
St Johns Wood Scout Group had three youth members in the District Flag Party: Joey Scout Olivia Price, Scout Katrina Sugars and Venturer Scout Hamish Davie.
Scouting families stayed for a BYO breakfast and games.
